Youth With A Mission

Youth With A Mission (YWAM) is a global movement of Christians from many cultures, age groups, and denominations. We are dedicated to serving Jesus throughout the world by sharing His Gospel, Word, and love to the nations.

We aim to do this through capturing the hearts of youth and championing them to know they can make an eternal difference in this world for God at their young age.

YWAM Suva’s Story

YWAM Suva is a new YWAM community that we are pioneering in Fiji. This base is a part of the YWAM Ships Aotearoa and YWAM Furnace family in New Zealand. We are also supported by YWAM Waves Sunshine Coast in Australia.

YWAM Ships Aotearoa has been serving in Fiji since 2022 with the m/v YWAM Koha, a medical ship dedicated to empowering health in the Pacific. The Koha serves Fiji’s isolated islands, offering free medical care to the hardest to reach places.

YWAM Suva was birthed out of the medical ship, when the leaders of the ship met with a political leader of Fiji in early 2023, asking how we as YWAM can serve this nation. His response was the need to raise up role models for the youth of Fiji and asked if we would come and help with that. A request which for us as YWAM is the very heart of who we are; discipling and empowering youth to fulfil the two greatest commandments (love God and love others) and to fulfil the Great Commission (making Jesus known to the nations).

Our Vision

The vision of YWAM Suva is to raise up role models in Fiji who are passionate for Jesus and His Word, worship and prayer, and the Great Commission. And then to see that passion spread across the Pacific, with the dream of seeing Pacific Islanders sent out into the nations to advance God’s Kingdom in this earth.
